Police in Orage are on the search for a suspect wanted for a late-night armed robbery of a gas station.
According to police, at approximately 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to 67 South Essex Avenue (Delta Gas Station) on a call of an armed robbery in progress.
Police say, upon arrival, officers were met by a male employee who stated that a black male, armed with a black rifle, placed the weapon into his back and demanded cash.
According to police, after the worker gave the suspect approximately $500 in cash, the unidentified assailant then stated to the worker, ”run up the street, don't look back or I'll shoot you."
Police believe the subject then jumped into a light-colored SUV and fled westbound on Interstate 280.
According to surveillance video, the suspect is a black male who was seen wearing a red, white and dark-colored zip-up hooded sweater, black shoes, black jeans.
There were no physical injuries reported.
