There is an active investigation underway into a shooting that injured a person in a section of Paterson Saturday night.
According to police, suspects pulled up in a vehicle and began to fire shots at individuals in the vicinity of 139 Godwin Avenue shortly before 10:07 p.m.
Officers arrived and found at least one victim struck by bullets at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to St. Joseph's hospital for treatment while detectives searched the area for suspects. Police recovered weapons at the scene according to reports.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has been notified of the shooting.
