A man died after a car fell on him, trapping him underneath, according to fire and police officials in Jersey City.
According to authorities, the incident happened in the vicinity of 1028 Garfield Avenue around 11 p.m. Sunday.
Police say a preliminary investigation indicated carjacks failed, causing the car to fall on the man's chest.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
OSHA was called to the scene to assist in the active and ongoing investigation.
