Rescue crews recovered the body of an unidentified person floating in the Passaic River in Bergen County this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, North Arlington Police requested firefighters to the scene when they were informed of a person floating near the 200 block of River Road.
The body was recovered then taken to a location in Bergen County for the investigation.
Officials from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office were notified of the incident.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
