Mercer County authorities are investgiating the motive behind a shooting that severely injured a man in Trenton Monday morning.
According to police, at approximately 12:25 a.m., police rushed to the single-digit block of Oakland Street to investigate reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police found an unidentified male suffering gunshot wound inside a home at that location.
Trenton EMS provided life-saving CPR to the victim while he was rushed to an area hospital, according to police.
Offcials said the Trenton Police shooting response unit were on the scene investigating the incident.
