Police in Newark are investigating a stabbing that seriously in a person in the city's South Ward early Sunday morning.
According to police, offcials at Beth Israel Hospital contacted police when the victim entered the emergency room suffering multiple stab wounds just before 2:52 a.m.
According to police, the victim told them that the incident happened in the vicinity of Nye and Fabyan avenues shortly before entering the emergency room.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation
Police have not made an arrest, according to officials.
