Officials said bridges on the Garden State Parkway over Interstate 280 will be repaired and resurfaced during a series of high-intensity construction cycles from Monday, May 11th, through Monday, May 18th. Drivers should expect delays.
The schedule of the high-intensity construction cycles is as follows:
From Monday, May 11th, at 8 a.m. until Tuesday, May 12th, at 6 p.m., the two northbound right lanes and the northbound entrance ramp from Interchange 145 will be closed.
Traffic on the ramp will be detoured to north Oraton Parkway. All southbound lanes will be open.
From Tuesday, May 12th, at 6 p.m. through Thursday, May 14th, at 4 a.m., the two northbound left lanes and the northbound entrance ramp from Interchange 145 will be closed.
All southbound lanes will be open.
From Thursday, May 14th, at 4 a.m. through Friday, May 15th, at 9 p.m., the two southbound left lanes will be closed.
All northbound lanes will be open.
From Friday, May 15th, at 9 p.m. through Monday, May 18th, at 5 a.m., the two southbound right lanes and the temporary southbound exit ramp to Interchange 145 will be closed.
Drivers attempting to exit will be directed to Exit 144. All northbound lanes will be open.
