ATLANTIC CITY- While serving our community earlier this month, in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, police officers from Brigantine Police Department assisted a stranded seal to safety from the street.
On Tuesday, right over the bridge in Atlantic City, to end the month of April, police officers and firefighters also went beyond the call of duty to assist some ducklings that found themselves stranded in a sewage drain!
Atlantic City police officers and firefighters rescued the ducklings from a drain off of Brigantine Boulevard, the ACPD reported! ACPD’S “pet detective”, Officer Cindy Rongione, can be seen in a photo laying on the ground as she reached into the drain to help the stranded ducklings!
ACPD reports that Officer Rongione then took the ducklings to Funny Farm Rescue to be further assisted!
“In these challenging times, Officer Rongione and her colleagues at ACPD and ACFD, prove once again that they are there to protect and serve all of those who cannot help themselves, no matter what form of life.
We are grateful for their service!” Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said.
