Tip Leads to Police Finding 17 Bodies Piled up Inside NJ Nursing Home Morgue

The nursing home crisis is staggering in New Jersey as the death toll from coronavirus continues to rise at facilities across the state.

Officials say police got a tip and found at least 17 bodies at the nursing home. When officers arrived, they found that corpses had been removed from the shed. They also discovered 17 bodies piled inside the nursing home in a small morgue intended to hold no more than four people.

Andover police posted on Facebook showing a rented box truck that's parked outside the Andover Subacute nursing home in Andover Township .

Officials say it's makeshift morgue and, sadly, it's becoming a common sight outside of long-term care facilities as COVID 19 ravages that population.
