Police in Newark's Central Ward are investigating an incident where a man jumped out a window of a high-rise building Wednesday.
According to a preliminary investigation, the unidentified adult male -was not a senior resident- lived on the 14th floor of the building New Community Corporation building located at 140 South Orange Avenue.
Police believe that sometime during the overnight hours, the man lept from the window and reached a second-floor landing that broke his fall from him hitting the ground.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
There are no reports of foul play at this time.
