Authorities in Jersey City are looking into the cause of a collision that left a Jersey City police officer injured overnight.
According to police, the crash happened at approximately 10:40 p.m. in the area of Tonnelle and Newark avenues.
Police say emerged responders arrived and assisted the officer out of the wrecked vehicle that struck a pole at that location.
The officer's injuries were not reported as life-threatening and police officials have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
