Police are investigating reports of an area carjacking that occurred at a location in the township Friday afternoon.
According to reports, units were called to a location on Belleville Avenue after learning of an armed carjacking shortly before 4:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, they began to search for a black Honda Accord with reported NJ license plate numbers "L37-LVN".
The victim told police that the suspect was armed with a handgun during the incident.
There were no injuries reported. Police have not released much information on the incident.
