Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi, and Clifton Fire Chief Frank Prezioso are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an individual responsible for two early morning fires that took place on March 30, in the City of Clifton.
According to police, at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Monday March 30, 2020, police and firefighters responded to 102 Highland Avenue, in the City of Clifton for a fire in a garbage can located outside the residence at that location.
The fire was quickly extinguished, and the structure was not damaged.
Thereafter, at approximately 4:45 a.m., on Monday March 30th police and firefighters responded to 148 Highland Avenue in the City of Clifton for the report of a garbage can fire.
Again the fire was quickly extinguished, and the first floor apartment suffered damage, displacing one family.
No injuries were reported.
Police say video surveillance in the area showed one actor.
