Roselle Park Firefighters and surrounding municipalities battled a raging fire that destroyed a house in the borough on Sunday morning.
According to preliminary information from fire officials, heavy fire tore through the roof of a house located in the 500 block of West Colfax Avenue at approximately 1:05 a.m.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found all the occupants of a house that was fully involved in flames.
Firefighters stretched several lines to battle the blaze that began to extend to another structure, according to officials.
Crews were able to make it inside the home where they searched for trapped and injured occupants, which came back negative.
The fire was placed under control just before 2:40 a.m. with the cause under investigation.
