East Orange Firefighters with the assistance from Newark battled a raging early morning fire that tore through a vacant home on the border of both town Saturday morning.

According to fire officials, crews were called to the 90's block of North 18th Street after receiving reports of a fie inside a home just after 12:10 a.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed the home fully involved in flames and beginning to extend to a home on the Newark side of the border and several trees at that location.
Firefighters stretched several lines where they began to surround the structure and extinguish flames shooting from the structure.
The roof of the building collapsed due to massive fire that extended from the first floor and into the cockloft of the home.
As of 4:07 a.m., there were no injuries reported.
