Police notified hospitals in the region to be on the lookout for possible gunshot victims who may enter the emergency room after gunfire rang out in a Jersey City neighborhood Tuesday night.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Monticello and Belmont avenues just before 8:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, units found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after they search the neighborhood, there were no victims found.
Police say the suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
