Police in Newark are investigating what caused a man to fall form a window of a senior living building in Newark's Central Ward on Saturday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, the unidentified male lived on the 8th floor at the
New Community Gardens for Seniors located at 265 Morris Avenue.
Police say they were called to the building when residents reported hearing a loud thump outside of the building.
When police arrived, they found the man lying on the ground severely injured.
During the investigation, police found that the victim fell multi-stories from the window. He remains in 'grave' condition, according to police.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office stated that they are not investigating the matter at this time.
