Good Samaritans chased down then captured the driver of a car who struck a motorcyclist on a street in Paterson this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, the suspect struck the motorcyclist in the area of Market and East 27th Street at around 4:15 p.m.
The impact of the collision caused the victim to be thrown several feet off of the bike.
A pizza delivery man and other citizens boxed the driver in several blocks away and held him until police arrived to make the arrest.
Police say the motorcyclist was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment.
The incident is under investigation.
