NJ State Police officials are reporting one fatality in a crash that occurred on The Garden State Parkway in Bergen County Wednesday morning.
According to a brief statement by state police officials, the crash happened at around 5:33 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near exit 166 in Washington Township.
Police say several vehicles collided causing one person to become trapped in a car. That unidentified victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
The collision caused partial closures on the highway according to NJ State Police.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
