Warrants have been issued for the arrests of Mr. Farod Rice, 49, of South Orange, and for Newark residents Mr. Javoun Williams, 26, and Mr. Nashid Smith, 24, are being sought for separate incidents of domestic violence assault.
According to police on Friday, February 28, a man pointed a handgun at a South Ward woman following a quarrel.
Detectives investigating this incident have identified Farod Rice as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say on Thursday a North Ward woman was assaulted by a man she knows.
Detectives investigating this incident have identified Javoun Williams as a suspect in this incident and secured a warrant for his arrest on a charge of aggravated assault according to police.
On January 30, 2020, a woman was assaulted at a South Ward residence by a man she knows.
The man also took the victim’s iPhone X, Series 1 Air Pods and Apple Watch. Detectives investigating this incident have identified Nashid Smith as a suspect in this incident and secured a warrant for his arrest on a charges of assault and burglary.
While police are actively searching for Rice, Williams and Smith, they seek the public’s help in quickly locating each suspect as part of these separate investigations.
Rice is described as 5’9” tall and 180 lbs. He has a medium brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He also has tattoos on both arms.
According to police, Williams is also described as 5’9” tall and 180 lbs. He has a medium brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes.
Police say Smith is described as 6’2” tall and 200 lbs. He also has a medium complexion with black hair and brown eyes.
