NJ State Police officials are investigating a pedestrian strike that injured a person on a highway in Somerset County during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, state troopers found the seriously injured victim in the Eastbound lanes of I-78 near mile marker 28.7 just before midnight.
Police closed the middle and left lanes for the investigation while EMS treated the victim at the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
Authoritities have not released the condition of the person at this time.
