Woodbridge Police released the following alert today:
”We were hit again over the weekend with three victims; two being elderly and one person lost close to $5000.
One individual lost about $4000, and another victim lost about $20,000. All in gift cards.
Please, we can’t stress it enough, share this information with your elderly family members to NEVER pay things with gift cards.
The person that lost $20,000 met somebody on a dating app and was sending them money”.
