A child and two adults suffered non-life threatening injuries after a car occupied by several suspects struck them at an intersection in Newark’s West Ward this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, witnesses in the area of South 12th Street and 16th Avenue told reporters at RLS Media that just before 3:10 p.m., a car -believed to be stolen- sped through the intersection and slammed into another car then struck the pedestrians.
Witnesses say, three males jumped from the damaged car and sprinted away from the scene.
The victims are expected to survive.
There is an active and ongoing investigation.
