There is an active investigation into the motive for a stabbing that left one person injured in a section of Elizabeth Saturday night.
Police were called to the 500 block of East Jersey Street to investigate reports of a person stabbed at around 9:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found the unidentified male victim suffering multiple stab wounds at that location.
Police say EMS rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment in serious condition.
There are no immediate reports of arrests made.
