Authorities in Union County are investigating two separate armed robberies of businesses in Roselle Park and Union that occurred Saturday evening.
According to preliminary reports, in the first incident, police say a black male suspect entered the 7-Eleven on Locust Avenue at around 9:50 p.m. armed with a gun and demanded cash from employees.
The suspect took an unknown amount of proceeds before fleeing the scene.
Police in the other incident, a masked suspect -armed with a weapon- entered the Village Liquor Store and took cash before fleeing the business on Edgewood Road shortly before 10 p.m.
There were no physical injuries reported in either robbery.
