Police officials in Newark, are reporting that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Michael Brodie, 28, on a charge of robbery in connection with an incident that occurred on Monday, January 13.
Officials say at approximately 8:20 p.m., a man wearing a Halloween mask entered Sidi Supermarket, located at 584 Orange Street, pointed a handgun at a clerk and demanded cash.
The suspect removed $150.00 from the cash register before fleeing on foot, headed eastbound on Orange Street, and then north on North 11th Street, according to officials.
Detectives investigating this incident identified Brodie as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
They seek the public's help in quickly locating him as part of this investigation.
Brodie is described as 6-ft. tall, and 240 lbs. He has a medium brown complexion, black hair, and brown eyes. His dread locs hairstyle has been cut, and he now has an afro.
