A high-speed police pursuit that involved several Bergen County Police Departments ended in an early morning crash in Harrison Wednesday.
There are minimum details regarding the circumstances behind the pursuit, but according to preliminary reports, Rutherford, Lyndhurst and North Arlington Police Departments were engaged in the pursuit of a vehicle that refused to pull over.
The suspect sped the vehicle down Passaic Avenue and into Harrison, where he crashed into a parking garage at Harrison and Passaic avenues just at the Newark border.
With weapons drawn, police were able to get the injured suspect out of the vehicle without further incident.
EMS rushed the unidentified male to University Hospital suffering critical injuries, according to reports.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
Police set up a crime scene around the vehicle where the investigation will be conducted.
