NJ Transit officials are reporting severe injuries for a female who was struck by a train in the Bergen County town of Waldwick on Monday night.
Offcials say the unidentified female was airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center after she entered the tracks and was struck at around 8:30 p.m. in the area of Frederick Street and Hewson Avenue.
According to a statement released by NJ Transit officials to RLS Media, the unidentified woman was on the Main Bergen Line tracks and her injuries are consistent with being struck by a train but police are trying to determine which train struck her at this time.
The incident delayed service but it resumed around 10:45 p.m., according to NJ Transit.
