Prosecutor’s Office and Winslow Township Police Department are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on January 22nd at approximately 10:34 p.m. on Williamstown Road near the Atlantic City Expressway bridge.
When Winslow Township Police responded to the scene, they found the victim, James Lawrence, 47, of Williamstown, lying in the road.
Police say he was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 12:37 a.m.
At this time, authorities are attempting to locate the vehicle that fled the scene.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. As such, no additional information is being released at this time.
