Newark Police are reporting that Mr. Keith Tilghman, 34, of Newark, is being sought by authorities for three vehicle break-ins that occurred over the past three months.
Officials say, on Monday, November 18, 2019, a victim reported that his vehicle was broken into while parked in the 200 blocks of Smith Street. Cash and credit cards were stolen from the vehicle.
According to police, on Friday, December 13, 2019, a woman reported that her vehicle was broken into while parked in the 100 blocks of Lindsley Avenue. Cash and two prescription bottles were removed from the victim’s vehicle.
Police say a man reported that his vehicle was burglarized between January 1 and January 3, while parked at Vale Street and Kenmore Avenue. The victim’s wallet containing a credit card and other personal property were stolen in this incident.
Detectives developed sufficient evidence to identify Keith Tilghman as a suspect in each of these incidents and have secured warrants for his arrest on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy to commit burglary.
While police are actively searching for Tilghman, they are seeking the public’s assistance in quickly locating him as part of these investigations.
