Emergency responders performed a water rescue of a person who reportedly fell off a bridge into the Elizabeth River this evening.
According to authorities, the incident happened in the vicinity of Broad and Rahway Avenue just before 5:30 p.m.
When emergency rescue crews arrived, they found the conscious and alert victim in the Elizabeth River.
Firefighters were able to successfully hoist the victim to safety in under a half-hour.
There were no serious injuries reported.
