Police in Jersey City are investigating the motives behind two separate stabbing incidents that caused injuries to victims in the city overnight.
According to preliminary reports, one of the incidents happened in the vicinity of 67 Martin Luther King Drive, where officers reportedly found the victim suffering a stab injury in the arm.
Police say the victim refused medical attention and there was no information on a suspect responsible.
It the other incident, police were called to the area of 5:30 Montgomery Street to investigate reports of an injured person around the same time as the MLK Drive stabbing (9:45 p.m.).
Upon arrival, police found a male victim suffering several stab wounds in his back.
He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and remained in stable condition.
There were no arrests and police have not reported the incidents to be connected at this time.
