Police recovered multiple rounds of shell casings after gunmen fired bullets on a street in Newark on Monday evening.
According to authorities, gunfire erupted in the vicinity of 225 Avon Avenue shortly before 5 p.m.
Police officers arrived at the scene and began to tape off the area of Avon to Seymour avenues and Treacy Street, where they searched for victims.
A crime scene unit was called to the area to examine shell casings at that location.
Police are attempting to determine if a hospital walk-in gunshot victim suffered his injuries at the Avon Avenue shooting scene.
The suspects remain at-large.
