NJ Health officials say GTI is the first ATC to open among the awards made by the New Jersey’s Medicinal Marijuana Program (MMP) in December 2018.

"The availability of this new ATC will provide residents in the northern part of the state better access to products they need to treat their conditions,” said Acting Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli. “This is another step forward in making New Jersey’s Medicinal Marijuana Program more patient-friendly.”

According to GTI, the dispensary will open on December 21 and will operate Tuesday - Friday 10 AM - 7 PM and Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM.

The six other ATCs currently dispensing include Greenleaf Compassion Center of Montclair, Compassionate Care Foundation of Egg Harbor, Garden State Dispensary of Woodbridge, Breakwater Alternative Treatment Center of Cranbury, Curaleaf NJ, Inc. in Bellmawr and Harmony Dispensary in Secaucus.

Officials say participation in the program continues to grow. There are more than 63,840 patients, 2,430 caregivers, and 1,000 physicians participating in the program.

The Murphy Administration made a series of program reforms that boosted participation, including the addition of five new medical conditions (anxiety, migraines, two forms of chronic pain, and Tourette Syndrome), allowing ATCs to post prices and adding mobile access to the patient registry.

According to officials, patients and caregivers can visit the MMP's website to change their designated ATC. The change can also be made by calling the Customer Service Unit of the MMP at 609-292-0424 and does not require changing ID cards.
