Authorities in Ocean Township are investigating a pedestrian strike that seriously injured a male in Lacey Township on Sunday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of Lacey Road and Holmes Avenue to investigate reports of an injured person at around 6:07 p.m.
Officers arrived and found a seriously injured male lying on the ground after a vehicle struck him at that location.
Police say the victim was airlifted to the hospital for treatment while officers stayed at the scene investigating.
There were no other injuries reported.
