Police in Newark are investigating a crash that injured an off-duty police officer on Wednesday morning in the city's Central Ward.
According to Newark Police, the crash happened at approximately 10:35 p.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and West Kinney Street.
Emergency crews arrived to find two vehicles involved in a collision with several people, including the officer, hurt at that location.
All of the victims were transported to University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
