Police are on the scene investigating reports of shots fired in a neighborhood in Newark at this time.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 14th Avenue and Newton Street at approximately 3:15 p.m. where arriving officers found shell casings at that location.
Police searched the area but no victims were found according to authorities.
Police say the suspect fled in a dark-colored Jeep with heavily tinted windows.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and the suspect remains at-large.
