Police in Bergen County are investigating a report of a robbery that occurred at a restaurant on Route 46 in Lodi during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the Popeyes located at 11 US-46 to investigate an armed robbery in progress at approximately 11:30 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene were told that a male suspect committed the armed robbery then fled the scene on foot.
The suspect reportedly wore beige clothing and carried a weapon during the incident.
Police have not released the amount of proceeds that the suspect took during the robbery.
No physical injuries were reported.
