Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Acting Chief of Investigations Chris Kimker, and Chief Mark DiCarlo of the Morris Township Police Department announced an investigation into a deceased person found in Morris Township.
Police say law enforcement received information regarding a deceased male in a wooded area near 25 Lindsley Drive, Morris Township.
Police say the investigation confirmed that a deceased male’s body was located in the woods.
The cause and manner of death are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police would not identify the man but media sources reported the individual as Joseph Payne, 47, who was missing for two weeks.
