Police and school officials in Linden are investigating a fight that had a student injured this morning.
According to police at approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning two students at Joseph E. Soehl Middle School were involved in an incident in the hallway.
Police say during the incident one of the students produced a knife and jabbed it at the other.
After a short delay, the incident was reported to school officials.
The offender was taken into custody without further incident by the School's Special Law Enforcement Officer, and the victim was treated on scene for a minor puncture wound to the hand.
Officials say there is no danger to students, and classes are continuing on a normal schedule.
The incident remains under investigation by the Linden Police Juvenile Aid Bureau.
