Passaic County authorities are reporting critical injuries for a pedestrian struck by a car at a location in Clifton late Saturday night.
According to police, emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Main Avenue and Rutherford Boulevard to investigate reports of an injured person at approximately 11:50 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews found an unidentified person suffering severe injuries after a vehicle struck them at that location.
Police say the victim was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment and remains in severe condition.
The driver of the car reportedly stayed at the scene.
The incident is under investigation.
