Paterson Firefighters Battle a raging multi-alarm fire that destroyed a house in the city on Monday night.
According to fire officials, at approximately 10 p.m., firefighters received multiple calls of a fire that was burning out of control in the vicinity of 239 Rosa Parks Boulevard.
Over a dozen firefighters arrived at the scene and found flames tearing through the roof of a three-story mixed-use building with a restaurant on the bottom floor.
The intensity of the flames caused a partial collapse of the building and forced firefighters to activate as many as four alarms.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control just before midnight with a search of the building coming back negative for trapped or injured occupants.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
