Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect who is wanted for firing about a half dozen rounds in a West Ward neighborhood on Saturday night.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 87 Pine Grove Terrace at approximately 9:20 p.m. sending officers to the scene to investigate.
Authorities say when police arrived, they found evidence that a shooting occurred but during their search of the community, no victims were found.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Police have not reported a motive for the shooting at this time.
