There were non-life threatening injuries immediately reported for a person struck by bullets in Jersey City on Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of an injured person in the vicinity of 185 Myrtle Avenue just before 12:25 a.m.
Officers who arrived at the scene found an unidentified person suffering bullet wounds at that location according to reports.
EMS units were requested to the scene to transport the victim to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
