Police in Jersey City are on the search for the driver of a car that sped away from the scene after striking a bicyclist this afternoon .
According to police, the incident happened at approximately 4 p.m. near the Liberty State Park Light Rail Station.
Police say the driver of a grey 2007 BMW 5 Series struck the bicyclist the fled on Johnston Avenue immediate afterward.
The bicyclist suffered none-life threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery according to police.
The incident remains under investigation.
