There were no injuries reported in an early morning fire that ignited a home in Newark on Wednesday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the fast-moving fire erupted inside a house located in the 500 block of Christopher Street shortly before 12:50 a.m.
Crews arrived to find fire on the second store of the house and began to stretch hose lines to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters were able to make entry into the residence where they searched for trapped and injured occupants, which came back negative.
The fire was brought under control in under a half-hour with the cause of the fire under investigation.
