The Union County Accident Investigation Unit has been called to assist in a pedestrian strike that has a child injured at a location in Union at this time.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened at approximately 4 p.m. in the vicinity of 1276 Erhardt Street where emergency crews found the boy, around the age of 12 suffering serious injuries after a vehicle struck the kid while he was on a bike at that location.
The unidentified victim was rushed to the hospital where doctors began treatment.
The investigation is being handled by the Union Police Department at this time.
