Authorities in Pennsylvania are actively investigating a crash that killed a Newark resident on Friday afternoon in East Lampeter Township.
According to a police report obtained by RLS Media, police said the violent crash occurred at approximately 4 p.m.,
Police units were dispatched to the 1700 block of Lincoln Hwy East (Rt 462) for a report of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Chateau Hill.
According to the police report, emergency responders rushed to the scene and found the badly damaged vehicle and two occupants suffering severe burn injuries underneath it.

East Lampeter Township police determined that a black 2003 Infinity G35 was traveling eastbound on Lincoln Hwy East and for unknown reasons, crossed the center turn and westbound lanes before striking a sidewalk then becoming airborne.
According to the police report, the vehicle slammed into a utility pole and concrete pillar, which caused it to roll over before it came to a rest on its wheels in the southbound (exit) lane of Chateau Hill.
Upon coming to rest, the vehicle landed on top of two individuals who were ejected from within the car during the crash, according to East Lampeter Township Police.
Police say several bystanders assisted in pulling the injured patients out from under the car but cautious due to the physical integrity of the victims and the possibilities that the car would ignite in flames.
According to police, the female occupant, Ms. B’neisha Thompson, 22, from Newark, suffered massive injuries and pronounced deceased at the scene. Newark officials said Thompson was a 2015 piano major at Newark Arts High School.
On the school's Facebook and Instagram pages, Principal Ricardo Pedro and school administrators expressed condolences to the family of Johnson and their fellow 'Jaguar.'
Police say a second occupant, a juvenile, was transported to Lancaster General Hospital and later a burn center for injuries sustained.
The police report stated that the car did not ignite in flames, however, the undercarriage of the car reached scorching temperatures, which caused severe injuries to Ms. Thompson and the juvenile.
According to police, third occupant, Mr. Juan C. Marrero Jr. 25, of Newark, NJ sustained severe injuries and was transported to Lancaster General Hospital and admitted into the Trauma Unit.
Police closed the roadway from the time of the crash until approximately 11 pm for investigation, removal of the vehicle, roadway clean-up and the shoring of the utility pole.
The police report did not reveal if alcohol, drugs, or speed played a role in the fatal collision. There was no information immediately available on who drove the car.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
