There non-life threatening injuries immediately reported for a person struck by a car near University Hospital in Newark Friday night.
According to police, the driver of a drove away from the scene after striking an unidentified pedestrian in the vicinity of Bergen Street and South Orange Avenue just before 10:40 p.m.
EMS transported the victim the short distance to the hospital where they received treatment.
The incident is under investigation by Newark Police.
