Passaic Police temporarily closed lanes on Route 21 while they towed a vehicle then investigated a crash that occurred on the highway during the overnight hours.
Police say there were no serious injuries reported in the single-car crash that occurred in the southbound lanes near mile marker 12.4 just before 12:25 a.m.
The driver of the car reportedly left the scene but was located a short distance away and detained by police.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
